I love a good backyard wedding, it’s so intimate and beautiful. Mariah and Ryley had to make a few changes to their wedding plans like so many couples this past summer due to COVID. They rescheduled their big celebration to next year, but couldn’t wait to get married and had an intimate ceremony in Mariah’s parents’ backyard.
Wedding Day
It was an absolutely gorgeous day. We started out with their first look, took some bride + groom portraits and then the backyard wedding started. During their first look, Ryley had the best reaction to seeing his bride for the first time, all first looks need to be like this one. It was so special and full of joy and excitement for the big moment!
It was such a touching ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Ryley shed a couple tears while his bride walked down the aisle. After the ceremony, we took family portraits and they had an intimate reception with their closest loved ones there. Beautiful day! Mariah looked gorgeous in her dress and floated down the aisle. She was the most perfect bride!
Like so many other brides, Mariah was faced with lots of obstacles when it came to wedding planning. Deciding to postpone, or elope, and celebrate later. This year has shown me so much grace and true kindness in all of my brides. They have handled these curveballs with patience and grace and were truly amazing to work with.
Backyard wedding or adventure elopement, these brides handled it like champs and their weddings were stunning. If you’re on the fence about your wedding, just do it, and celebrate later. Focus on what matters most, like these guys did and you won’t regret it.
