It’s family pictures season and that means making sure everyone is wearing the perfect outfit. I’ve gathered some of my favorite tips and inspiration pictures to help find the perfect outfit for everyone in your family!

First, it’s important in family pictures, couple pictures, or even engagement pictures to have coordinating outfits but aren’t too ‘matchy matchy’. I suggest picking one or two colors and a few muted more neutral tones to keep the pictures from looking too busy.

Next, keep in mind the location of your session. You wouldn’t want to wear boots on the beach! I suggest reaching out to your photographer to see what they suggest to make sure your little crew is comfortable. Comfortable family = beautiful and happy pictures!

Keep in mind the season you’re taking your pictures in. During fall pictures when the greenery is starting to turn, I suggest wearing creams, and olives. It’s a great way to have you and your family stand out and not blend in!

Avoid large logos or loud prints, this will allow your cute family to shine, and not some silly printed shirt.

Lastly, my favorite tip of all, lay all the outfits together on your bed to get an idea of how they’ll look together.

Here are a few of my favorite spots to find picture perfect outfits for everyone in your family!

  • Old Navy – super cute, affordable and they have something for everyone
  • Love Olive Co. – trendy and affordable dresses for you!
  • H&M – trendy, affordable and you can shop for your kids here too!

Let’s connect and make your family picture dreams a reality!
